Greetings! Thanks for stopping by. I'm a freelance science journalist and editor with more than a decade's worth of professional experience. Formerly, I was the managing editor of online content at Science Friday, a national public radio show and science news site, and before that, I was a senior editor at Audubon magazine, the flagship publication of the National Audubon Society.
For a week in April 2016, I was a science journalist in residence at the University of Florida, where I lectured to journalism classes and gave a public talk, which you can watch here.
I have a master's degree in journalism from New York University's Science, Health, and Environmental Reporting Program and bachelor's degrees in biology and Spanish from Washington University in St. Louis.
I'm based in Brooklyn, New York, but my roots remain in Florida.
